Check your blood pressure
The only way of knowing whether you have high blood pressure is to have a blood pressure test.
All adults over 40 are advised to have their blood pressure checked at least every 5 years. Getting this done is easy and could save your life.
You can get your blood pressure tested at a number of places, including at our pharmacy. If you've not been diagnosed with high blood pressure and would like to get yours checked or contact our pharmacy on 01789-507330 to book an appointment.
If we find any potential signs of high blood pressure, we will offer you further testing through a continuous 24-hour blood pressure monitor, or referral to your GP practice.
We are able to obtain your prescriptions electronically without the need for a paper copy. Simply ask your GP Surgery to nominate our pharmacy in order for your prescriptions to be transferred to us automatically.
Simply quote our pharmacy code FLM07, or our postcode B49 5BX to help your GP find us on their system. OR, give us a call and we can nominate you directly at the pharmacy and support you with next steps.
As a registered NHS distance and internet pharmacy we provide free NHS prescription delivery to local areas. Please contact the pharmacy on 01789-507330 for further information.
If you find it difficult to get to the pharmacy and you live locally you can have your prescription delivered to your door by using our Free Prescription Delivery Service. This service is open to all eligible patients in the surrounding areas, please contact us for more info.
If you're prescribed a medicine to treat a long-term condition for the first time, you may be able to get extra help and advice about your medicine from your local pharmacist through a free scheme called the New Medicine Service (NMS).
People often have problems when they start a new medicine. As part of the scheme, the pharmacist will support you over several weeks to use the medicine safely and to best effect.
The service is only available to people using certain medicines. In some cases where there's a problem and a solution cannot be found between you and the pharmacist, you'll be referred back to your doctor.
Who is eligibleThe NMS can help:
We dispense NHS prescriptions and will give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines and use a fast and an efficient wholesaler service to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly. For patients in England who do not have a valid exemption or pre-payment certificate, the NHS prescription charge is currently £9.65 per item.
We are also able to accept, dispense and deliver Private Prescriptions to your door.
